INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION
Ritt, Tai, Thvedt & Hodges has a team of knowledgeable and creative attorneys experienced in the litigation of trademark, copyright and patent infringement, as well as in trade secret and unfair competition matters. Our attorneys have litigated extensively in federal courts throughout the nation, and have amassed significant experience in both seeking and opposing pre-judgment remedies, including injunctions and seizures of confidential, trade secret and/or counterfeit goods and other proprietary information, in addition to litigating those matters through conclusion.
Our work in enforcing and protecting the intellectual property rights of our clients includes an unbroken successful record of obtaining injunctions and/or seizure orders in federal district courts throughout the country on behalf of an Asian-American satellite television broadcaster which owned a large library of copyrighted and proprietary Chinese language movies and programs. Whenever appropriate, the Firm also works closely with state and federal authorities – including federal marshals and local law enforcement – to vindicate the rights of our clients against willful infringers.
Our attorneys are equally adept in defending individuals and entities accused of infringement, and have successfully resolved disputes for businesses litigating against some of the country’s largest companies including Microsoft and The Irvine Company. Our clients benefit from our business-focused approach to developing strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client, and we pride ourselves on our ability to efficiently defend our clients – often smaller businesses or individuals – from the overly aggressive tactics of their accusers. As is its record on behalf of its plaintiff clients, the Firm’s successes in representing its defendant clients is also uniformly successful.
